wollemi?

Wollemi is the name of a rare species of pine that was assumed extinct but re-discovered in an out-of-the-way gorge in the Wollemi National Park in NSW in the mid 90’s. The name wollemi is derived from a term in the Darkinjung language which means stop and look around.

Wollemi Walkers are so called because its meaning is a great reminder that it is important to get out there, into the natural world and look about.        But it’s also valuable to stop, still the mind, take it in.

  1. Hi, I’m a friend of Tresh. Can someone let me know when the next walk is on. I wouldn’t mind to tag along. My name’s Tony, I’m at Port Willunga.
