Wollemi is the name of a rare species of pine that was assumed extinct but re-discovered in an out-of-the-way gorge in the Wollemi National Park in NSW in the mid 90’s. The name wollemi is derived from a term in the Darkinjung language which means stop and look around.

Wollemi Walkers are so called because its meaning is a great reminder that it is important to get out there, into the natural world and look about.        But it’s also valuable to stop, still the mind, take it in.
